We are pleased to share that Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI-JU), which is funding the SSUCHY research project, has released an informative article presenting some of the potential applications of SSUCHY’s bio-based composites from hemp and wood feedstock.
In a nutshell, the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) is a €3.7 billion Public-Private Partnership between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) for the period 2014-2021, which has funded 123 bio-based innovation projects involving 924 beneficiaries from 37 EU Member States and Associated Countries.
The “Success Story” article explains the framework and progress of the project and mentions some of its key achievements during these 3 past years. Last but not least, it mentions that the SSUCHY project is co-organising along 3 additional EU initiatives, the 1st edition of the European Summer School on Bio-based Composites called ESBBC, a summer school program to teach master’s and doctoral students about recent advancements in natural fiber technologies.
We would like to thank the BBI-JU for supporting us and many other projects that seek to transform industries towards a biological source !
